About Vexed
Vexed Fishing was started in Australia in 2006 by, in the company's own words, 'a guy who is inspired by Japanese tackle technology and not just passionate, but obsessed with fishing'.
The company describes itself as being about new ideas and different fish-catching designs. Its best-known one is the Bottom Meat, which it calls the first reef-fishing hybrid jig-and-bait system of its kind in the world — a jig head and assist rig built to carry a real bait to the bottom rather than to replace it.
The range that grew out of it is built for demersal fishing — the Micro Meat and Bottom Worm for small baits, the Dhu Drop, Dhu Slow and Dhu Inchiku slow-pitch jigs, the Dhu Head and Dhu Bomb jigheads, the Cray Lord crayfish imitation, and the Dingle Dangle and Jingle Dangle flasher rigs. Vexed says its products are designed with Australian and international species in mind and are always being improved as technology progresses.
Vexed's own words for what it is trying to do: to give anglers 'the choice of thinking outside the square and to try something a little different, which makes angling more interesting'.

Vexed in New Zealand
In New Zealand, Monster Distribution is Vexed's official New Zealand distributor and supplies the range to tackle and marine stores nationwide. This site shows the range available here and the New Zealand recommended retail price for each size and colour.
Vexed's own range is wider than this: its Australian catalogue also carries terminal tackle, YM hooks, Harimitsu squid jigs, line and leader, apparel and a run of accessories. What is on this site is what Monster Distribution brings in — the Bottom Meat and Micro Meat families, the Dhu jigs and jigheads, the Cray Lord soft bait, the dingle dangles and the assist hooks that go with them.
